Exercice 2 — Compréhension : A Strange Weekend (5 points)

Read the text and answer the questions. "Last weekend was very strange. On Saturday morning, I wanted to play tennis with Tom, but it rained a lot. So, we decided to go to the library. In the afternoon, the weather was nice. We went to the park and we saw a famous YouTuber! He made a video with his dog. We didn't talk to him because we were shy. In the evening, I visited my grandparents and we ate a huge cake. On Sunday, I stayed in bed until 11 am because I was tired. I didn't do much: I read a book and played online with friends." Questions: 1. Why didn't the narrator play tennis on Saturday morning? 2. Where did they go instead? 3. Who did they see in the park? 4. Why didn't they talk to him? 5. What did the narrator do on Sunday morning?

Exercice 3 — Rédaction : My Last Holiday (10 points)

Write a short text (10-12 sentences) about your last school holiday (winter or summer). Use the Past Simple to describe what you did, what you saw, what you ate, etc. Use both regular and irregular verbs. Start with: "During my last holiday, I..." You must include: one negative sentence (I didn't... / We didn't...).

Correction indicative : L'élève doit utiliser le past simple correctement. Les verbes irréguliers doivent être justes (voir liste apprise : go/went, see/saw, eat/ate, have/had, etc.). La narration doit être cohérente et au passé. Une phrase négative doit être présente. Exemple de structure : "During my last summer holiday, I went to the seaside with my family. We stayed in a small apartment. The weather was beautiful. I swam in the sea every day. I made new friends. We played volleyball on the beach. One day, we visited an old castle. I ate a lot of ice cream. I didn't do any homework for the first week! It was fantastic."
